In partnership with Green Rooms hotel, Kirigram is kitting out the VIP lounge at this year's Graduate Fashion Week.
Graduate Fashion Week is "the world's leading event celebrating the creativity of students and graduates within fashion". A charity organisation setup in the early 90's by Jeff Banks CBE, Vanessa Denza MBE and John Walford, it aims to bridge the gap between graduation and employment. It has been responsible for launching the careers of many famous designers, such as Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald.
Kurt Bredenbeck, founder of three of the best known hotel projects in London and chairman of Green Rooms Hotel, equipped with an uncompromised eye for interior compositions, has been asked to furnish the Vip lounge for this year's event. Together with Kirigram, he has reproduced the distinct Green Rooms Hotel look, which he created in the fashionable Arts Hotel in North London.
With a cumuli light installation and a number our sculptural side tables, alongside an assortment of vintage furniture and accessories, we managed to transport the eclectic Green Rooms Hotel style from North London to the heart of London's hipster zone.
The VIP lounge will be the hub and meeting point of the who's who in the fashion world when the GFW jury comes together to decide who will be the recipient of the prestigous Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award. The design and layout of the lounge allows for quiet corners and open spaces, ideal for the jury's discussions and for mingling with the Beautiful People.
The Old Truman Brewery is East London's revolutionary arts and media quarter. For over twenty years the Old Truman Brewery has been regenerating its ten acres of vacant and derelict buildings into spectacular office, retail, leisure and event spaces. The finely tuned mix of business and leisure has created an environment unique in London, making the Old Truman Brewery a destination in its own right.
